GROWTHhub Entrepreneurship Education Bursary Competition
The GROWTHhub project is delighted to announce the 2nd Call for the GROWTHhub Entrepreneurship Education Bursary Competition.
At TU Dublin, the GROWTHhub mission is to encourage growth and entrepreneurial mindsets among our students.
It is important to note that the project definition of entrepreneurship is not confined to commercial enterprise development. Instead, GROWTHhub defines entrepreneurship as a transversal competence, which applies to all spheres of the lives of our community of learners: from nurturing personal development, to actively participating in society, to innovating as an employee, and to start-up ventures (cultural, environmental, social or commercial). In this context, our broad definition of entrepreneurship hinges on the creation of cultural, environmental, social or economic value. It thus embraces different types of entrepreneurship, including intrapreneurship, social entrepreneurship, green entrepreneurship and digital entrepreneurship, to name but a few.
The GROWTHhub mission will be achieved by building new student entrepreneurship learning pathways, underpinning the capacity of our programmes to support entrepreneurial learning outcomes, and building a supportive environment that allows students and enterprise-based learners to engage in entrepreneurship initiatives.
GROWTHhub Entrepreneurship Education Bursary - 2nd Call
The GROWTHhub Entrepreneurship Education Bursary Call is seeking applications for bursary projects that support the development of entrepreneurial mindsets, both through programme-based entrepreneurship learning outcomes development initiatives or extra-curricular initiatives. These initiatives are for students across all TU Dublin campuses, programmes, and level of study, from apprenticeship to PhD. Specifically, we are seeking bursary project applications that target:
- Creating enterprise awareness (and moving to interest through engagement with entrepreneurial role models, competitions and events);
- Developing learner entrepreneurial mindset (including ambition, motivation, personal confidence, resilience, and tolerance of uncertainty/risk);
- Developing learner entrepreneurial capabilities (including creativity, opportunity recognition, decision-making by critical analysis, interpersonal skills, and implementation of ideas by leadership);
- Reinforcing entrepreneurial effectivenessattributes (including independent self-direction, appreciating and creating multiple value forms, and implementing enterprising ideas).
We are also interested in receiving applications that (i) target groups where there is under-representation in entrepreneurial activities (e.g. women); and (ii) initiatives that can be delivered online.
Each bursary has a value of €5,000, and there are twelve bursaries available in this 2nd call. Bursaries can be used to support teaching buy-out and other costs associated with your project.
