Collaborative Programmes

Collaboration

Collaboration is at the very heart of the TU Dublin mission and we place a high value on developing mutually beneficial relationships with all our stakeholders. We adopt a proactive and progressive approach to building an ongoing dialogue with our partners, building a better understanding of each other’s environment  with a view to working with our stakeholders to co create innovative solutions to organisational and societal challenges.

In today's global environment, the successful creation and transfer of knowledge is an increasingly fundamental element for businesses pursuing real competitive advantage. We have a strong commitment to the development and support of the knowledge economy and a proactive approach to building successful links with industry. It is only through collaboration that we can address some of the world’s most pressing challenges and bring about positive economic and social change. We are a diverse and truly multidisciplinary university and a significant repository of expertise and knowledge. Working together, we can help you access this valuable resource to support your specific objectives.

Our Research and Innovation team are committed to supporting TU Dublin staff work with regional, national and international partners to tackle complex problems, exchange best practices, ideas, insights, and innovations. The team can help you link in with academics, research centres and research hubs on small or large scale projects; to catalyse innovation or support your organisation on a bespoke research problem. They can provide you with information on how access to facilities, equipment and analytical services, and work with your organisation to co-design projects for societal impact.

TU Dublin is committed to the commercialisation of intellectual property arising from our research and its partners. Our Facilities, Research Hubs, Centres and Groups are the hub of innovation and technology transfer activities in the university. We have a range of spinout technologies available to industry across Life Sciences, Food, ICT, Software, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing and Clean Technologies. Our Innovation and Knowledge Transfer team works with staff, students and research teams across the university as well as with entrepreneurs, industry leaders and investors.

We maximise the commercialisation of new technologies developed by our growing community of researchers and working with companies to develop innovative solutions to business challenges and support the launch of knowledge-intensive start-ups with the potential to generate significant economic benefits for Ireland.

Innovation is fundamental to maintaining a competitive edge in industry but sometimes time and financial constraints can prevent you from developing innovative ideas that could become an important source of revenue in the future. We can help you source funding opportunities, new technologies, and expertise and can even help you find ways to fund new staff to work on your research and development projects. We are committed to advancing basic, applied and commercially-viable research. With over 850 full-time academics and an extensive range of facilities we can offer industry an efficient and effective means of developing ideas into tangible and socially beneficial projects.
