Patrick who competed in the wheelchair marathon event at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games is currently a 2^nd year Community Development and Youth Work student.  He has been a participant of the Athlete Support Programme since September 2020.

"I am able to progress towards obtaining my degree in Community Development and Youth Work whilst also training as a full-time athlete. This would only be possible with the support of TU Dublin. Having the comfort to know that I can request flexibility when required for travelling to competitions is crucial for my qualification for Paris 2024 as was the case when I competed at Tokyo 2020".
