Assistant Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry, University College Cork (1/2/90). Appointed College Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry, UCC (1/9/91-31/12/94). Present position: Senior lecturer in Chemistry, Technological University of Dublin (TU Dublin) (1/1/95 1995 – 31/8/19) Tallaght campus, transferred to city campus September 2019. (Job-sharing from 1st September 2001- 31st August 2011). Joint-manager of the NMR service at TU Dublin-Tallaght (1997-2019). Appointed Academic Co-Director of the MiCRA Technology Gateway (January, 2018), an industry focused hub which delivers solutions to companies in sectors including in vitro diagnostics, environmental, food and pharmaceuticals.
She a founding member of the Irish Biological Inorganic Chemistry Society (IBICS), which promotes interdisciplinary research between scientists on metal-based therapeutics. She was on the organizing committee that ran the pilot competition for the first Scifest in 2006, which has since rolled out at national level. Scifest is the largest second level STEM fair in Ireland and is run under the auspices of SFI.
