Dr Sinéad Currivan received her PhD in 2012 from Dublin City University, under the auspices of the Irish Separation Science Cluster. Sinéad has held several research positions across the world, including the University of Pardubice (Czech Republic), the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (California, USA), Australian Centre for Research on Separation Sciences (ACROSS) at the University of Tasmania (Tasmania, Australia), and the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands).
Following her work in pharmaceutical industry, and in research, she joined TU Dublin in 2018 (then DIT), in the Centre for Research in Engineering Surface Technology (CREST), and Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateway. Sinéad joined TU Dublin Tallaght in 2020, to begin her role as assistant lecturer in Analytical Science. Her research themes include the development of monolithic stationary phases for use in HPLC, the integration of 3D printing technologies to applications in analytical (bioanalytical) science, and coating technologies for 3D printed medical devices. Sinéad is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and CASSS.
Key Research Interests; analytical separations, HPLC, materials science, polymer science, 3D printing, microfluidics, proteomics.
