Darren holds a PhD in Engineering Education from TU Dublin and has worked in the field of Engineering Education both as an academic and within Engineers Ireland in the quality assurance of both industry-led and University programmes for the past 8 years.

Darren has several publications investigating the career-readiness of undergraduate students in the proceedings of conferences and symposia as well as several journal publications related to instructional design. Darren’s current research interests are in Quality Assurance, Engineering professional competences and Lifelong Learning & Continued Professional Development
