Professor Brian Bowe is the Head of Academic Affairs at Technological University Dublin.

In 2000 he formed the Physics Education Research Group and in 2008 he established an Engineering Education Research Group which he then evolved into the CREATE (Contributions to Research in Engineering and Applied Technology Education) research group.

Due to the success of the education innovations and the dissemination of the findings from his research, Brian was invited to consult, support and lead changes in pedagogy and academic policy across a range of disciplines, including arts, business, engineering and humanities. He has also been invited to support and lead educational change in national and international Higher Education Institutes.

His education research interests include examining students’ approaches to learning within group-based project-driven pedagogies, epistemological development, progression, conceptual understanding and pedagogical evaluations.
