Short Summary:
Dr. Janet McKennedy is a water engineering lecturer in the School of Transport and Civil Engineering. She teaches in the areas of water and wastewater engineering, environmental engineering, and engineering science. Her research areas include SDG assessment, SuDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems), renewable energy, seaweed extracts, anaerobic digestion and biochar. She has supervised many undergraduate and postgraduate projects in these areas and has published in and has been a reviewer in a range of peer-reviewed journals.
Prior to joining TU Dublin, Dr McKennedy worked across a range of industries including wastewater, pharmaceutical and laboratory instrumentation. She has studied and is qualified in the areas of environmental engineering, chemistry, plant science, microbiology and biotechnology. Currently, she is completing the MSc in Education at the Learning and Teaching Academy, TU Dublin.
