About

Dr. Vit Sipal has joined the Antennas & High Frequency Research Centre in December 2012 as a "Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Engineering, Science, and Technology". His research focuses on radiomyography, which aims to employ electromagnetic waves in detection of muscular activity. The applications for such sensors range from rehabilitation and physiotherapy to the gaming industry.

Before joining the group Vit studied how the wireless channel (antennas and propagation) affects the performance of UWB communication systems and suggested improvements to the existing communication systems in order to fully exploit the available bandwidth of UWB channels.
