About
Dr. Abraham Loutridis is a Research Fellow at the Antennas & High Frequency Research Centre. His research is funded by CTVR - The Telecommunications Research Centre, Trinity College Dublin. He received the BSc in Physics and the MSc in Electronics and Telecommunication Technology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2006 and 2010 respectively and the PhD in Antenna and Microwave Engineering from the Dublin Institute of Technology, Dublin, Ireland in 2015.
He has worked on subjects including Electrically Small Antennas (ESA) and Antenna Miniaturization Techniques for wireless technologies and in particular, the integration of antennas for M2M applications. He was supervised by Prof Max Ammann, Dr Patrick McEvoy and Dr Matthias John.
His current projects include:
- Small base-station antennas for LTE/WiFi (MIMO)
- Miniaturization, Matching Techniques for UWB antennas
- Compact Integrated Antennas for Low Power Wide Area Network (LoPWAN) applications
- Antenna design for 5G Wireless Technology
- Front-End Matching Network Circuit Techniques
