This project aims to reduce power consumption in Open RAN systems without affecting performance. Open RAN’s flexibility allows for integrating diverse vendor hardware and software, which is crucial as data demand grows. Objectives include analyzing current energy usage, developing algorithms and hardware strategies, testing their effectiveness, and creating guidelines for telecom operators to implement energy-efficient solutions.
