I currently coordinate the work of the Grangegorman Labour & Learning Forum, a multi-agency voluntary body in which TU Dublin plays a leading role and whose aim is to ensure that local communities benefit from social, educational and economic opportunities arising from the Grangegorman Development.  I have nearly four decades' experience of working with a range of socially and economically disadvantaged groups in a number of community, voluntary and non-governmental organisations in Ireland and the UK.  I hold a BA in English & French (TCD), an MA in Industrial Relations (Keele) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Adult, Community & Further Education (Maynooth).

Research/Practice Interests: Educational disadvantage; labour market access and inequality; systemic and structural inequality; intersectionality of exclusions and oppressions; rights-based social justice; the social economy/social enterprise.
