Dr. Sachin Sharma is a computer engineering lecturer at TU Dublin, previously holding positions as a Programme Director and Assistant Professor at National College of Ireland. He recently completed an EU-funded project as a Project Coordinator and Principal Investigator on inter-testbed experiments for IoT. Dr. Sharma completed his PhD in Computer Science Engineering from Ghent University, Belgium and his M.Tech in Computer Applications from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India. He has been involved in multiple European and Belgian-funded projects such as SPARC, OFELIA, CityFlow, UNIFY, CleanSky, and MECANO, resulting in over 40 publications in top international journals and conferences. He also presented his work at ACM SIGCOMM, IEEE INFOCOM, and IM. Prior to his PhD, he worked as a senior software engineer at Tejas Networks India Limited. His research interests include SDN, Network Function Virtualization, Cloud Computing, machine learning, and IoT.
