Ms Sneha Sabu Mathew is a PhD researcher who joined a group in 2022. Her research is primarily focused on the design and development of biosensors for smart food packaging using biomaterials with natural pigments. Sneha's scientific background includes expertise in various areas such as electrospinning, preparation of nanocomposite and polymer composite materials, valorisation of agrowaste and sericulture wastes, extraction and characterization of silk sericin, production and characterization of nanocellulose, and film characterization using various polymers. Sneha earned her BS and MS in Chemistry from Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala, India, and received a TU Dublin scholarship to pursue her PhD. She has published research articles in scholarly publications, edited books, contributed to book chapters, and won several awards at various international conferences.
