With a background in education, Miriam is a Regional Childminding Development Oficer for the National Action Plan for Childminding (NAPC) in Ireland, while also conducting post-doctoral research into the social value of sport to young mothers with the Research Centre for Psychology, Education and Emotional Intelligence (PEEI) at TU Dublin.  Miriam has recently completed a postdoctoral study on socio-emotional skill development and graduate employability with the Transform-Edu Project. Her doctoral research focused on professional childminders' praxis and pedagogy within the framework of Ecocultural Theory.
