Bozena is a lecturer on the early childhood education and care programme on the Blanchardstown Campus of TU Dublin. After completing a B.A. degree in Language Education and an M.A. in English Studies, Bozena worked as a secondary school teacher, a primary school language support teacher, an academic manager and a teacher trainer in the private education sector. She moved into research and lecturing in higher education while completing a Ph.D. degree in bilingual language acquisition at Dublin City University. As part of her PhD study, and in collaboration with the research team at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Bozena developed a psycholinguistic tool to evaluate language dominance in bilingual children, which has been used as a method of data collection at a number of European universities. Bozena has published the results of her research in academic journals and delivered invited talks and webinars on the topic of language education, bilingualism and heritage linguistics. Her research interests are set in the broad areas of early childhood and primary education, language acquisition, child bilingualism, heritage lingusitics and equality and diversity in education. Bozena supervises postgraduate research projects in the above fields of study, and always looks forward to hearing from prospective students and from individuals and organisations interested in potential collaboration.
