Joy is a TU Dublin funded PhD research student working with CERI in affiliation with the facility for optical characterisation and spectroscopy (FOCAS). She is investigating ways of routinely screening macular pigment carotenoids and other lipid peroxidation compounds using spectroscopic serology.
