Olivia Golden is a qualified architectural technologist. She lectures on the TU831 BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology programme in the School of Architecture, Building and Environment.
Olivia graduated with a BSc Architectural Technology in 2006 and with a BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology in 2012. Her dissertation was ‘Embodied Energy in a Retro-fit Case Study’.
She completed the DIT Postgraduate Certificate in Digital Analysis & Energy Retrofit in 2017 and the MSc Building Performance (Energy Efficient in Design) in 2023 with a dissertation titled ‘An Investigation into the Role of Design Professionals in the Energy Retrofit of External Wall Insulation (EWI) to Dwellings in Ireland and the Associated Knowledge and Skills’.
She is currently registered as a PhD candidate in the School of Surveying and Construction Innovation with supervisor Dr. Róisín Murphy. Her research is focused on the role of the architectural technologist in the area of energy retrofit and building performance.
