Dr. Mary Deasy; Head of Research & Innovation: Engagement and Impact (past attendee) said that ‘the workshop was useful for me to get to grips with the lifecycle of a project output that has potential for application. The small group mentoring part put me on the spot for sure, but meant I learnt to how to frame a potential project research outcome in appropriate everyday language and in non-technical terms”.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Understand why potential customers might value the output of your research.
- Learn how to communicate your technology in a way that potential customers can relate to it.
- Learn more about the funding available to support market validation / customer discovery activities and commercialisation.
- Hear from someone who has been on that journey and survived to tell the tale.
- Network over lunch with like-minded individuals.
Commercialisation experts from the Innovation Office will be in attendance to answer any questions and advise on next steps.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the event.
