TU Dublin Research and Innovation at 10th Living Knowledge Conference, Girona
Dr Catherine Bates, TU Dublin Research Engagement Lead, co-facilitated the final plenary session at the recent 10th Living Knowledge Conference in Girona, Spain, on research with and for communities.
Together with Dr Emma McKenna of Queen’s University Belfast, she encouraged participants to reflect on what they had learned about Community Engaged Research at the conference, and to identify and commit to undertaking an action to develop this area of work through the Living Knowledge Network.
TU Dublin has been involved with the biennial Living Knowledge Conference for many years, represented on the scientific committee since the 5th conference, and hosting the 7th conference on the Aungier Street Campus in 2016.
TU Dublin is also actively involved in EU-funded Living Knowledge Network projects, with Dr Claire McDonnell (who was also at the conference) coordinating the university’s involvement in the Horizon Europe LOESS project on soil health and education.
