Upcoming training sessions for early career researchers from Library Services

Library Services works closely with TU Dublin’s Researcher Career Development team to deliver training sessions on a range of topics including Open Research, Data Management and AI Literacy. We have two upcoming sessions during the last week of October.
SESSION 1: How to Write a Narrative CV
Time & Venue: Thursday, 31 October 14.00 - 16.00, ONLINE via MSTeams
Who should attend: Researchers and research-active staff at all stages of their career development.
Course Description: This session focuses on what a narrative CV is, how to develop one, what to include and more importantly what to exclude. Presenter Aoife Quinn Hegarty, Research Indicators Librarian.
SESSION 2: Publishing for Research: Ethical Standards, Research Integrity & the role of AI
Time & Venue: Friday, 1 November 13.00 - 16.00 CQ008
Who should attend: Researchers and research-active staff at all stages of their career development.
Course Description: In this session Dr Gráinne McNamara from Karger Research will give an overview of what you need know about ethics when publishing to ensure you meet publishers’ and universities’ standards of research integrity. Róisín Guilfoyle from TU Dublin Library Services will outline the support available internally when deciding where and what to publish and tools you may wish to consider using during the writing process. Dr Steve Meaney Head of Research Ethics and Integrity at TU Dublin will provide an overview of TU Dublin’s authorship policy and the forthcoming guidance on responsible use of AI in research.
