OSTrails Pilot Project Fostering Greater Engagement with TU Partners and Beyond: Interview with Lindsay Dowling.
The library’s Research Services team and the university’s Open Research Support Unit (ORSU) have been working closely on the National Pilot for OSTrails: a Horizon Europe project to improve and harmonize the planning, tracking and assessment of scientific knowledge across the continent. In November, Lindsay Dowling, ORSU Lead, sat down for an interview to discuss the project.
Lindsay highlighted the strong collaborative dimension of the project, sparking, as it has, an ongoing flurry of engagement between the five Irish technological universities and international partners around a shared goal. She further pointed out the potential significance of the pilot in informing the development of a corresponding national strategy for Ireland. All the while, Lindsay, along with Gerard Connolly (Data Librarian) and Frances Madden (Assistant Head of Library Services: Research Services), have been quietly working away on a specifically TU-friendly instance of Argos - an open platform for Data Management Planning and key component of the OSTrails nexus - about which we will have much more to share in due course.
