TU-NET is excited to announce the premiere session of the new game What About Open Science?
What about Open Science? is a competitive Open Educational Resource game designed to create discussion around common open science concepts and ideas that everyone should understand but do not always fully grasp. Through this game participants are introduced to the key concepts for discussion of open science, what that means for them and their institution, and what concrete steps they can take to make a difference going forward as part of the open science movement. The aim of the workshop is not only to play the game to enhance knowledge but to facilitate playing it in institutions everywhere with implicit advocacy for Open Science built in. Participants do not need to prepare for this workshop in advance.
Places are limited so register as soon as possible by emailing aisling.coyne@tudublin.ie .

UKSG Conference Review
Aisling Coyne, Open Scholarship Librarian
In late March, I attended the 48th UKSG Conference in Brighton to present on our work as part of the UKSG Innovation Award 2023. My colleague Dr Sarah Coombs and I spoke on Monday and Tuesday in a Breakout Session called What About Open Science? The session included a presentation on game development – from inception to fruition, the highs and lows, the many pivots, and our experience with Open Peer Review of the game. A recording of the session will be available shortly. The game will be published CC-BY-SA.
Later this month, TU-NET will be hosting the premiere session of the new game What About Open Science? at TU Dublin.
