Bloomsbury Fashion Central: The Digital Hub of Fashion Now Available in the Online Library

Library Services is now providing a trial of the Bloomsbury Fashion Central collection, available from Monday, October 7th 2024 to Saturday, December 7th 2024. You can access this collection through the A-Z Databases using your TU Dublin email credentials. 
 
Bloomsbury Fashion Central is a digital hub for the diverse and extensive world of fashion. Bloomsbury is split into different content Hubs that cover different aspects of the fashion world, from the runway to the history books. 
•    Berg Fashion Library - images, articles, and books exploring the dresses and adorned body cultures throughout history.
 
•    Bloomsbury Fashion Photography Archive - over 40 years of fashion is captured in 775,000 high-quality runway, backstage, and street style images. Designers’ insights are also captured in articles, biographies, and videos.
 
•    Fairchild Books Library - complement your textbook and class learnings with this online collection of videos, case studies, flashcards, projects, and more. 
 
•    Bloomsbury Fashion Business Cases - fashion like any business has its history and challenges. Case studies from across the industry are used to bridge the gap between education and industry. Bloomsbury Digital Fashion Masterclasses are a great compliment to the Business Cases.
 
•    Bloomsbury Fashion Video Archive - relive fashion shows from across the world from 1979 to 2003. These productions have been enhanced with extensive indexing and captioning to enable search, browse, and enhanced discoverability.
 
•    Bloomsbury Dress and Costume Library - This collection focuses on the study of dress and costume history, design and making, across history. Articles, costume-making guides, and videos analysing garments brings to life the history of dress and costumes around the world.
 
•    Bloomsbury Digital Fashion Masterclasses - Masterclasses bring together the knowledge and experience of real-world organisations. The classes cover the full fashion value chain, from design to production to marketing, and every step in between.
 
•    Bloomsbury Historic Dress in Detail - Crow's Eye Productions brings to life not only the physical garments, but the historical context and materials of garments. Roman, Tudor, Regency, Victorian, and Modernist dress are covered in these videos and their accompanying articles/source lists. 
 
All of these resources, and more, will be available from Monday, October 7th 2024 through the library’s A-Z Databases site. Using your TU Dublin email credentials will let you access to this wealth of information until Saturday, December 7th 2024.
