Student Assistance Fund 2024-2025

The Student Assistance Fund (SAF) provides financial support to students who are experiencing short or long-term financial difficulties while attending higher education. The SAF is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.

The fund is open to full-time and part-time students aimed at tackling educational disadvantage by providing financial support to those who may require additional financial support to enable them to fully benefit from their higher education. Students will be required to produce financial information to support their application for assistance.

The Student Assistance Fund covers the following schemes:  General SAF, Rent, Childcare, Class Materials, Dental/Opthalmic, and Compulsory Travel.  Students select which scheme they are applying for as part of the application process.

Please Note: The Student Assistance fund cannot be used for University fees purposes. You must be registered in order to apply for SAF.

As there are limited funds available, TU Dublin will target the available resources at those students most in need.
