Updated Wednesday, 22 January 2025 at 18:10
As Storm Éowyn moves across the country, Met Éireann has issued a Red Weather Warning for Dublin. According to Met Éireann, the warning is valid from 06:00am to 12:00pm on Friday, 24 January 2025. Under a Status Red warning, travel is not advised until the alert has finished.
As a result of this extreme weather warning:
- TU Dublin campuses will be closed on Friday until 14:00.
- Any in-person exams that are scheduled for that day will be rescheduled.
Staff and students are advised to adhere to the guidance issued by Met Éireann and the National Emergency Coordination Group.
All our campuses will open as normal tomorrow, Thursday, 23 January, and scheduled exams will proceed as planned.
The University will continue to monitor the Met Éireann weather warnings and will provide a further update if circumstances change, e.g., should our closure times change due an extension of the Red Weather Warning. Please follow our social media channels and check your email for updates.
