TU Dublin's Dr Pat O'Connor Appointed President of Fingal Chamber

Dr Pat O'Connor, Head of the School of Social Sciences, Law, and Education at TU Dublin, has been appointed as the new President of the Fingal Chamber. In his inaugural address, Dr O'Connor expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating, "Contributing to both the Business and Community interests in Fingal is a privilege, and I am looking forward to my new role with Fingal Chamber through further building on the achievements of the Chamber to date and contributing to a vibrant business environment and a place for all to live and visit and enjoy."

The partnership between TU Dublin and Fingal Chamber has been instrumental in fostering strong connections with local industries and supporting the growth of start-ups in the region. This collaboration dates back to the days of the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown (ITB) and continues to play a pivotal role in the University's business-facing initiatives. The Chamber has supported start-up businesses and incubation spaces, such as the LINC on the University's Blanchardstown Campus. 

As President, Dr. O'Connor will focus on enhancing the Chamber's strategic priorities, including promoting sustainable business practices, developing innovative partnerships, and supporting emerging enterprises. Under his leadership, the Chamber is committed to expanding opportunities for collaboration with key educational institutions like TU Dublin, ensuring that businesses in Fingal benefit from cutting-edge research, talent development, and community engagement.
