TU Dublin Celebrates Record Support for Female Entrepreneurs on National Women’s Enterprise Day 2024
On the eve of National Women’s Enterprise Day, Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) proudly announces a historic milestone in 2024. This year, TU Dublin has supported the highest number of female entrepreneurs in its history, with 53% of all businesses backed through Enterprise Ireland’s New Frontiers programme being female-led. This achievement is particularly notable against the national average of 39% female-led businesses.
Claire Mac Namee, Head of Enterprise Engagement at TU Dublin, expressed the university’s pride in this significant accomplishment. “We are incredibly proud of this achievement, which highlights our unwavering commitment to fostering female entrepreneurship. This success is a testament to the dedication and innovation of our female entrepreneurs and the supportive environment we cultivate at TU Dublin.”
Mac Namee also emphasised the university’s broader commitment to advancing opportunities for women through initiatives like TrailblazHER™. “At TU Dublin, we are dedicated to not only supporting women in entrepreneurship but also empowering them across a broad range of fields through our TrailblazHER™ initiative. We believe in creating a future where women can thrive and lead in all areas of society.”
This milestone reflects TU Dublin’s ongoing efforts to champion gender equality and support the next generation of female leaders.
