International Day of Persons with Disabilities at TU Dublin

Published: 3 Dec, 2024

In recognition of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, TU Dublin is proud to share a compelling conversation about disability inclusion within our university community.

At TU Dublin, inclusion is at the heart of our mission to create an equitable and supportive environment for everyone. Guided by initiatives like our EDI strategy, student disability policy, and the work of the Disability Task Group, we strive to ensure that inclusion is a core part of campus life and our collective values. As part of the university’s ongoing efforts, the university is hosting an internal webinar for staff and students focused on “Disability Inclusion: Voices, Supports, and Solutions,” bringing together diverse voices to advance this important conversation.

Watch the video below to learn more about the lived experiences of members of our community, as  Dr. Keith Murphy, a lecturer in Social Care, and Sean Byrne, a first-year student, discuss their personal experiences as staff and students living with disabilities.
