TU Dublin Open Day in Grangegorman - Saturday, 02 December 2023
TU Dublin will host its Open Day in Grangegorman on Saturday, 02 December, from 10 am to 2 pm.
Hosted at our Grangegorman campus, you will find all the information you need in one place about any of our courses across our campus network in Aungier Street, Blanchardstown, Bolton Street, Grangegorman and Tallaght.
If you wish to attend, please register here.
Lynda Young, Senior Manager for Student Recruitment for TU Dublin, has a few tips for those visiting Grangegorman in December.
Plan Ahead
My first tip would be to make sure you register at https://www.tudublin.ie/opendays/. That way, your experience can be tailor-made, and you can learn about talks specific to your interests. If you're applying to study for a programme in Grangegorman, make sure to join a campus tour. Our brand-new campus at Grangegorman has amazing facilities, including a 350-seater concert hall, a black box theatre, state-of-the-art labs, workshops, and studios. On the day, we'll have talks and demonstrations as well as some fun events, including a DJ and Christmas choir, to get you into the spirit of the time of year. Plan your day with our Open Day Schedule now.
Make finding the right course for you a priority.
At TU Dublin, our course range is broad, so our staff and lecturers will be on hand to answer all your questions about finding the right course for you. Make sure you understand exactly what is involved in the course, modules and methods of assessment. Find out what you will be doing every week, how many hours of lectures, and what's the balance between practice and theory. Write your questions in advance so you get the most out of it.
Follow up and grow your network.
Another tip would be to follow up with anyone you meet in person or on social media. Whether they work in admissions, a lecturer or a fellow student, it could help you get a better feel for what you want to study. One of the great things about TU Dublin is how passionate our staff are about working here and helping students. You can also find us on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram, with lots of tips from students and staff. Get in touch, and we'll do our best to answer any questions you have.
It's an Open Day, so keep an open mind!
Finally, I'd ask students to open their minds about what they want to study. TU Dublin is the second largest university in Ireland, and while known for our STEM subjects, we also support the largest cohorts of students of business, media, culinary arts, and the creative and performing arts in the country. Don't focus on Level 8 courses only – ensure you research Level 6 and 7 courses that you might be interested in to help you find a career you are passionate about.
