This July brings a big moment for women’s sport in Ireland as the Republic of Ireland play their World Cup matches in Australia. Our Women’s team has never previously played at the World Cup or the European Championship – football fever is about to grip the country!
TU Dublin is a proud supporter of Women’s football in Ireland and are sponsors of League of Ireland club, Shelbourne FC. We ask our staff and students to continue to cheer on Ireland’s World Cup squad in Australia.
We are delighted to see support from all across the country for this team. Irish influencers Charleen and Ellie recently visited Shelbourne’s Tolka Park, where Shels’ players Pearl, Alex and Amanda helped get them up to speed about Women’s football and our world cup chances.
