TU Dublin and Aer Lingus launch their 2023 Aircraft Engineer Apprentice Programme
TU Dublin and Aer Lingus have begun accepting applicants for their Aircraft Engineer Apprentice Programme, which offers 15 places to those keen to begin a career in the Aviation industry. The four-year programme, run in conjunction with SOLAS, the State further education and training agency based in Shannon, provides an opportunity for budding engineers to gain hands-on experience while becoming fully qualified Aircraft Engineers.
Successful applicants who complete the programme will be fully qualified aircraft engineers and will have the opportunity to forge their career at Aer Lingus, working at part of the Maintenance and Engineering team.
Claire Eriksson, Head of the Aviation School at TU Dublin said:
We are delighted to continue TU Dublin’s relationship with Aer Lingus, helping to grow talented engineers through this forward-looking programme. Earlier this year, 27 newly qualified aircraft engineers who successfully completed the apprenticeship and all 27 graduates were hired by the airline. I’d encourage all those with an interest in aviation engineering to apply to become part of this exciting and growing industry.
The programme is a combination of classroom learning and practical experience, with a focus on line maintenance and the delivery of customer experience. The application process for the 2023 Programme is now underway at and will remain open until 12 May 2023. Candidates should apply online by submitting a CV application to www.aerlingus.com/careers and if they meet the essential criteria, they will be invited to complete an online assessment and interview.
