Now is your chance to support the TU Dublin Christmas Appeal 2023

Published: 1 Nov, 2023

Our students have chosen to support Childhood Cancer Ireland and Mary's Meals alongside SVP Ireland for this year's TU Dublin Christmas appeal.

Fundraising events, activities and an online raffle will take place over the weeks of 20 November to 08 December, and we are inviting students, staff and alums to help us run fundraising events and activities (e.g. a silly jumper day, a quiz, a sponsored challenge) and our raffle for this year's campaign.

If you would like to participate, please complete this very short form by Wednesday, 08 November.

“Our Christmas Appeal is the perfect chance to enjoy the holiday season, while also providing much-needed support for those going through hard times.”

Killian Twomey, President of TU Dublin Student Societies Executive

"Childhood Cancer Ireland supports families with children and adolescents who have been affected by childhood cancer. This is a very worthy cause, as currently, childhood cancer receives just a small fraction of funding to support those affected by cancer. The funds raised at TU Dublin will help to ease the burden of diagnosis and treatment for these families as well as allow further research into alternative effective treatment options for childhood cancer."

Alex Reddy-Skilling, TU Dublin Student Volunteering Student Chairperson

"In my school, we set up the breakfast club where anyone can come get something to eat before the school day starts free of charge! I suggested Mary’s Meals because of my understanding and first-hand experience with the importance of food in the lives of children in school."

Hannah Raheem, TU Dublin Student Volunteer

This year at TU Dublin, we will make a positive difference for many - together.
