TU Dublin Human Nutrition and Dietetics Student Receives Prestigious Academic Award

Published: 27 May, 2022

Last month, Trinity College Dublin (Trinity) announced a new cohort of Fellows and Scholars, including Lisa Kelly, a second-year student of the BSc Human Nutrition and Dietetics programme.

This programme is delivered by the School of Biological and Health Sciences in TU Dublin and the School of Medicine in Trinity. The ceremony marked the first time these honours have been delivered in person in three years. Provost Dr Linda Doyle stood, in line with tradition, on the steps of the Public Theatre in Front Square to read out the names of the Scholars and Fellows.

Becoming a Trinity Scholar is a major achievement for which second-year students must perform exceptionally well in exams held in January, showing a deep knowledge of their subjects. The students continue with their usual coursework as well as studying independently for these exams.
