New book on Minority Entrepreneurship by Prof Cooney to be launched with webinar
A new book by Prof Tom Cooney titled ‘The Palgrave Handbook to Minority Entrepreneurship’ was published recently.
The handbook is inclusive of any community who might be considered disadvantaged or under-represented in terms of entrepreneurial activity and included are women, youth, seniors, disabled, immigrants, Indigenous peoples, LBGTQ+, ex-offenders, Roma, refugees and many others. The chapters are written by experts from across the globe, and their work demonstrates the idiosyncratic nature of the many communities examined before offering frameworks and models that draw together the various findings.
The book will be officially launched on May 20th (1-3pm) with a webinar featuring some of the world’s leading experts on these various topics. The webinar will focus on the challenges faced by entrepreneurs from minority and disadvantaged communities and how to enhance their entrepreneurial activity. It will be opened by the Minister of State for Disability Anne Rabbitte, who will officially launch the book, and the sessions will be chaired by Professor Yvonne Galligan and Dr Katrina Lawlor of TU Dublin.
