ALSO: The collection – Willy de Majo
The School of Creative Arts at TU Dublin is pleased to announce that ALSO: The collection – Willy de Majo, the second in the series of vitrine displays will be on view from this coming Friday, 5 November in the East Quad Foyer.
Willy de Majo’s work encompassed graphic, industrial and exhibition design, corporate identity, packaging, and product development. He was co-founder of the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (ICOGRADA) and an honorary fellow of the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD). A collection of printed ephemera belonging to de Majo was donated to TU Dublin School of Creative Arts. It includes books, magazines, journals, print samples and ephemera dating from c.1950–97.
ALSO is an ancillary programme of display and publication curated by Brenda Dermody and Peter Maybury in the School of Creative Arts. The programme runs throughout the academic year displaying work from undergraduate students and recent graduates alongside examples of practice and print media from various collections.
