About Languages Pathway
The #LanguagesPathways team is a collaborative group of TU Dublin language lecturers, which been awarded funding for their proposal entitled ‘Awareness Raising and Promotion of courses with a Foreign Language component’. The €10,000 funding has been allocated by Post-Primary Languages Ireland (PPLI), a dedicated unit providing expertise and support for foreign languages education in Ireland and with responsibility for implementing key actions in Languages Connect – Ireland’s Strategy for Foreign Languages in Education 2017-2026.
The funding has been used to build a website for Languages for second-level to raise awareness of courses with a foreign language component in TU Dublin and to highlight the importance of foreign language learning on multiple levels for personal, cultural, social development and career opportunities.
