TU Dublin Presents MAKE 2019: Media, Art, Knowledge and Education at An Draíocht
On 14th and 15th October 2019, TU Dublin was delighted to host MAKE 2019, the annual two day creative seminar, co-ordinated by the Creative Digital Media department at the Blanchardstown Campus.
MAKE is an acronym of Multimedia, Art, Knowledge and Education and the seminar brought students and real world experts together within the creative space of An Draíocht, Dublin 15, for knowledge sharing and learning. Focussing on the act of collaboration within the digital and visual media, the seminar featured a host of workshops and talks, engaging dialogue between professional creative practitioners, educators, students, industries and institutions.
Almost 300 people attended the two day event which reflected on the theme of collaboration, asking attendees to consider questions related to how they work with others, how do they collaborate? What does collaboration bring to the creative process? How does the individual creative vision relate to a collective goal? How has the nature of collaboration changed and what lies ahead? What are the pitfalls of collaboration? In the space between practices and disciplines can something new emerge?
