Bio

Professor John Cassidy is a graduate of Technological University Dublin and of the University of Utah and was appointed as Assistant Head of School in 2000. 

He was appointed as President of the Institute of Chemistry of Ireland in April 2017 and served the Institute in this capacity for two years.

John was active in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and has research interests in electrochemistry, sensors and environmental remediation.

John now works as a Emeritus Fellow in TU Dublin.
