Bio

Appointed in 2013, Dr Vanessa Murphy is a lecturer in Analytical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Science in the School of Chemical & Pharmaceutical Sciences. Before joining TU Dublin, Vanessa worked for four years in a leading multinational pharmaceutical company. During this time Vanessa pursued a number of diverse roles including instrument validation specialist, analytical chemist and laboratory coordinator of the site's oral solid dosage facility. Vanessa's experience has been invaluable in supporting the design and development of the school's pharmaceutical science modules and also to her undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, especially for those students preparing for work placement.

Vanessa is currently the coordinator of the school's community outreach and engagement activities.
