Bio
Dr. Bernadette Creaven is a Senior Lecturer in Chemistry in the School of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She joined TU Dublin city campus in September 2019 having been a lecturer in inorganic and analytical chemistry at TU Dublin Tallaght since 1995 and prior to that a lecturer in analytical chemistry in University College Cork.
Her main research interests are in bioinorganic chemistry, particularly focussed on metal-based therapeutics and technologies to combat antimicrobial resistance, and in analytical and supramolecular chemistry.
She is the current joint academic director of the MiCRA Technology Gateway which is based at TU Tallaght. She is a chartered member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a Fellow of the Institute of Chemistry in Ireland and is a committee member of the Irish Biological Inorganic Chemistry Society (IBICS).
