Bio
Dr. Áine Whelan is a Lecturer in Forensic and Analytical Chemistry in the School of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has been teaching in TU Dublin since 2014. Prior to joining TU Dublin, she worked as a Forensic Scientist in Forensic Science Ireland for over 6 years and also worked as a post doctoral researcher in Trinity College Dublin and in Dublin City University.
Aine is the final year tutor on the TU851 (formerly DT203) programme (Analytical Chemistry- Environmental, Forensic and Pharmaceutical). She is a Management Committee member on the MULTI-FORESEE COST network. Her research interests include Forensic Chemistry and Nanomaterials.
