The Institute of Chemistry of Ireland had the great pleasure of organizing the 9thEuChemS Chemistry Congress (ECC9), held in Dublin, Ireland 7 to 11 July 2024.

The conference was the 9th in a series that started in Hungary and was held in several cities before reaching Dublin. All of them reached very high scientific levels, giving to all the participants the opportunity of listening to the most celebrated world speakers presenting state of the art advances in chemical sciences and to discuss openly with the chemistry community.

Kevin Kurian giving a talk. Mr Kevin Kurian giving his talk on 'Instability of ferrocene carboxylic acid mediator under alkaline conditions'

The scientific program was designed by the International Scientific Committee, to feature the best international speakers and a wide program of subject areas across the spectrum of Chemical Science in plenary and parallel session formats.

Bernie Creaven giving a talk. Dr Bernie Creaven giving a talk on ' Synthetic strategies to overcome the solubility limitations associated with novel antimicrobial coumarin derivatives'

Both oral and poster presentation opportunities for submitted papers were offered, in addition to inviting speaker slots, and a rage of specialist Short Sessions and Symposia .

A range of other sessions such as workshops, special “Hot Topic” presentations, Industrial Symposia, panel debates, and satellite meetings or sessions hosted by related organizations and societies were welcomed at the conference.
