Brief Bibliography
Obtained a diploma in Optometry from the DIT in 1991. Became a fellow of the Association of Optometrists Ireland thereafter. Worked in private practice for a number of years before taking up a position with Vision Express Opticians. Continued to work with Vision Express for over 25 years, until 2020.
Completed an honours degree in Psychology in 2007. Thereafter, took up a position as research assistant and Optometrist in DIT, working with the Macular Pigment Research Group, WIT. Pursued post-graduate studies and graduated with an MPhil from DIT in 2011, relating to Macular Pigment and preventative health care. Awarded a PhD in relation to Macular Pigment and Diabetes Mellitus in 2020, from TU Dublin.
Joined the lecturing staff of Physics & Clinical & Optometric Sciences, TU Dublin in April 2014
