Research Experience

Microbial fermentations, preservation techniques, immobilization and electron microscopy.
Clostridium botulinum – factors affecting its survival in processing environments
Microbial biofilm development in commercial manufacturing environments and under laboratory conditions, disinfectant testing techniques and microbial resistance to disinfectant.
Supervision of postgraduate theses in the areas of probiotics, culture preservation, biofilm development on surfaces, microbial resistance to disinfectants, domestic hygiene,  silage fermentation with lactic acid bacteria, detection of Legionella pneumophilia in water systems.
Supervision of undergraduate theses in a wide variety of areas.
