TU Dublin Inspiring the Future – STEM Workshop: Exploring Food Science and Biodiversity in Nutraceuticals
The School of Food Science and Environmental Health was delighted to participate in the TU Dublin Inspiring the Future – STEM Workshops on Friday, 14 March 2025, organised by the Access and Outreach Office. We had the pleasure of welcoming 15 Transition Year and 5th-year students from Kishoge Community College, Lucan, to an interactive workshop on "Food Science – Biodiversity in Nutraceutical Products". This hands-on session introduced students to chromatography techniques and the concept of biodiversity in natural sources, with a focus on nutraceuticals, quality, and quality control.
We extend our sincere thanks to our colleagues: Dr Tao Zhang, Gisele De Campos Pinto, Noel Grace, and Michail Saragatsis for their dedication in designing, preparing and delivering this insightful workshop.
The event provided a fantastic opportunity to inspire future scientists and showcase the exciting world of food science!
