Scoil Chiarain Visit

It was such a great experience to speak to primary school students from Scoil Chiarain on the 2^nd of February 2024. Their curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring the microbial world are truly laudable!

Many thanks to teacher Emily Kelly for inviting me to speak about microorganisms, though tiny, they play a significant role in our lives. The primary school students had their hands on swabbing different surfaces from their classroom in the pursuit of finding ‘nasty’ bacteria as well as reflect on how they can keep these tiny titans at bay, by just following simple hygiene practices. Many thanks as well to Dr. Gemma Kinsella for linking me with teacher Emily Kelly from Scoil Chiarain.
