Prof Dr Likotrafiti Eleni from International Hellenic University, Greece visit
It was such a great pleasure to welcome Prof Dr Likotrafiti Eleni from International Hellenic University, Greece during 15th -19th of April as part of the Erasmus programme. It has been a productive week in which Dr Likotrafiti delivered several guest lectures to our 1st year students from TU869, TU881, TU882 and TU875 on the topic of “Probiotics, Prebiotics, Synbiotics and Gastrointestinal Tract”. Dr Likotrafiti had the chance to meet with FSEH staff to share insights by presenting her Department of Food Science & Technology research interests. Dr Likotrafiti also had the chance to visit TU Dublin facilities for which Dr Catherine Barry Ryan provided a tour of FSEH teaching and brewing facilities, Dr Jesus Frias provided a tour of the TU Dublin Sustainability and Health Research Hub, Dr Kaye Burgess and Dr Shay Hannon provided a tour of the National Prepared Consumer Food Centre and Teagasc Food Research Centre based in Ashtown. Dr Likotrafiti also met Dr Uma Tiwari for discussing possible Erasmus opportunities.
