On Wednesday, 20th November 2024, the final-year students of BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Healthcare (TU875) had the privilege of participating in an engaging and highly informative training session on Pilot Plant Processing and Process Analytical Technology (PAT) at TU Dublin’s Tallaght campus.
This collaborative event, facilitated by the great team from the School of Chemical and BioPharmaceutical Sciences at TU Dublin, showcased interdisciplinary cooperation at its finest.
Delivered by Maureen Walsh, Lukaa Murad, and John Jones, the session provided invaluable insights into advanced industrial processes and technologies. Their expertise, dedication, and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on the students.
The hands-on training introduced the students to real-world applications of pharmaceutical production and quality control, seamlessly blending theory with practical skills. The experience deepened their understanding of critical pharmaceutical techniques while highlighting the importance of cross-campus collaboration in fostering academic and professional growth. Student feedback was very positive, with many describing the session as a highlight of their studies.
A special note of appreciation is extended to our in-house colleague Dr Tao Zhang, the Final Year Class-Tutor, for coordinating this valuable training opportunity.
