Exciting Semester for TU875/4
Semester one of academic year 2023-2024 has been a fruitful and exciting journey for the final year class of BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Healthcare (TU875) in the school. The class explored various extracurricular training and learning activities organised by the Programme Team, including site visit/training at NIBRT (National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training) for the BioPharma stream group, site visit/training at TBSI (Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute) for the ChemPharma stream group, pilot plant site visit and PAT (Process Analytical Technology) practical training at TU Dublin Tallaght Campus, guest lecture "Magic of Metabolomics" by Dr Shipra Naga, NatPro (The Trinity Centre for Natural Product Research, Trinity College Dublin), guest lecture "Ga(III) Siderophore Complexes - a Metallo-Trojan Horse Strategy to Tackle Antimicrobial Resistance" by Lewis More O’Farrell (TU875 graduate, PhD candidate at TU Dublin/RCSI), Confocal Microscopy Workshop at FOCAS Research Institute (TU Dublin), etc. This semester has no doubt enriched the students' overall learning experience. We wish the class group as well as all students across different programmes in the school the very best of luck with their upcoming winter exams.
